Gone Fishing

“The definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting different results.”

“You can wish in one hand and shit in the other…”

I’ve heard a ton of famous [or infamous] sayings lately. Hell, I’ve been chanting a few to myself. So for this morning’s cup o’ joe, why not hit this topic? A lot of sayings are things my family likes to quote, others are new to me. Some have been overused to the point that the words don’t necessarily mean anything, but the memory of whomever said it does.

What sayings do you find yourself chanting? What are the most popular ones in your family? What do you pull out of your hat to throw at others? Think about all the words you use that never really belonged to you in the first place… What saying is your favorite?

Life goes on. The aforementioned definition of insanity. Tomorrow is another day. And I’m sure there are a ton more that I use or think or throw at others… though I haven’t had enough coffee or been required to pep talk myself or anyone else this morning, so nothing’s popping to mind.  How about you?

Does “Why don’t you grow up and do something with your life?” count as a saying? Because that’s what I hear most often from my family lol.

The one I like to throw at others (I stole this from Christopher Titus) is: “Why don’t you come down off your cross and use the wood to build a bridge and get over it. That is also my personal favourite.

Oh I like that one! [Titus is funny =)]
