SIX DAYS: Partners in Crime

day5

Okay, enough about me (me, ME!). How about we talk about the other reasons to grab this set before they’re sold out? There are lots of reasons, but three really good ones…

Maelstrom, a line of Thunderstorm Books. Even before I stumbled into the stable, I loved these books. They’re beautiful. They’re well made. And they’re from authors you actually want to read. They choose their authors and the lines they will appear in carefully. Nate Southard‘s “Just Like Hell” was part of the Elemental series—pocket books that pack a punch! I did an introduction for Brett McBean‘s “The Mother” from the Black Voltage series—gorgeous hardcovers with artistic dust jackets. And the man behind the curtain, Paul Goblirsch, is not only amazing to work with as an author, but an outstanding publisher for customers to deal with… as seen here.

Russ Dickerson, cover artist for not just Six Days, but the whole first installment. He also did the countdown graphics for me, created a Six Days twitter background for me, and made wallpapers for the books in the series. He has done interior illustrations for Cemetery Dance, Subterranean Press, Apex and many more. He’s done covers for Simmons, Melniczek, Braunbeck and Keene. And true to small press, he’s an artist that gives more than hands on a cover or a photoshopped stock image. For the collectors that enjoy the artwork, Russ is a great reason to buy this set! Check out his site here.

Two words. Brian Keene. Do I need more? Okay fine. The mid-list monster of the genre is up to no good. He’s gone and started a book line with Thunderstorm Books. A little thing he calls Maelstrom. And in the first installment, you get not only my “Six Days” but also his “The Rising: Deliverance” and “A Gathering of Crows”. That’s two Keene books in one swoop! His fans will love these books for the exclusive material, long awaited zombies, cover art and production. And did I mention? Brian. Keene.

There’s only ever one first novel. This is mine. I’d like to share it with you. If you like horror and/or thrillers, you’ll like it. If you’re a fan of beautiful small press, gorgeous art and/or some zombie guy named Keene, then you should order this set. And if you’ve got $125 in a cookie jar somewhere, well, I have an idea where you can spend it.

“Six Days”… coming in two days!

(yet another graphic from my amazing cover artist—Russ Dickerson! *applause!!*)
