Signing Off | Buttercup of Doom 2.11

The end of a (short) era. The finale of the Buttercup of Doom podcast was taped live at Scares That Care charity weekend 5 because a bunch of lovely humans donated funds during the Horror Show with Brian Keene telethon and decreed it to be. And so it was.

We performed without a net—no notes, no plan—winging it with whomever showed up. It was a free-for-all Q&A, which included the famous “f*ck, marry, kill” question, pizza toppings, group sing-alongs, many other topics, insanity, giggles, and a reminder of rule number one: Don’t Be A Dick (oh, that should be my campaign slogan: Buttercup 2020)

Many many thanks to those who donated to make it happen, to those who attended the taping, and to those who have listened over the years. Not sure what kept your attention, but I’m humbled to have had it. Thank you, and good-night…

Available FREE (until Sept 1 only!!) on: PEN Project Entertainment Network • iTunes • I♥Radio  •  StitcherAndroidTune-In • Google Play Music • Overcast … and then POOF, gone. Unless you’re a patreon, then you can get access to these and anything new I may record. It’s only a buck. A single lonely dollar. $1.00 in the grand scheme of things. Go on then… be a patreon!

Sponsors: my new novel TEETH (not your mom’s vampires) and my ABCs coloring book for adults, The Atrocious Alphabet with illustrations by Chris Enterline

Buttercup Out | Buttercup of Doom 2.10

This week I go over every remaining idea, note, thought, rant bubble and peeve that I have jotted down over the years to become something it never will… an episode. Then we have some Q&A from the peanut gallery, the final gypsy wisdom, and the information for the last episode ever—to be taped live at Scares That Care weekend convention in August (3.15pm Sunday, 8/5, in the podcast room… prepare your final thoughts and meet me there!) I completely lose my mind a couple times and the swearing is enough that this should be on headphones or with that office door closed (NSFW).

Available FREE (until Sept 1 only!!) on: PEN Project Entertainment Network • iTunes • I♥Radio  •  StitcherAndroidTune-In • Google Play Music • Overcast

Sponsors: all of you wonderful people who listened, paid for advertising, or otherwise kept this going.

New Release: THE HATCH

hatch-400x600dpi72THE HATCH
(stand-alone sequel to “Waiting Out Winter”)

Nick Kontis and his remaining family members have survived winter—have outlived the threat of deadly infected flies—and are heading toward presumed safety. They quickly find all exit points blocked, the perimeter burned, and learn the flies were only the beginning, as Mother Nature has stepped in to correct mankind’s mistakes.

Her weapon of choice: spiders.

With thick webs covering the spring landscape, and lack of any communication leaving them on their own to guess whether or not the spiders are as lethal as the flies they’re eating, they make a new plan. Fleeing in a new direction they run into another party of survivors. And what was once a breakdown of society becomes an exercise in rebuilding.

They’ll need to find common ground and bond with the others, before winter arrives again. Before the spiders declare victory…

Hot Dogma

Bizarro, you say? Pshaw… Just because it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, doesn’t mean… Ok fine. Bizarro.

Intrigued, aren’t you?

Amazing Stories of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, edited by Cameron Pierce and hot off the Eraserhead Presses, includes my short story “Hot Dogma.” Also featuring stories by John Skipp, Stephen Graham Jones, Cody Goodfellow, Kevin L. Donihe, Jeffrey Thomas, and many more.

On the seventh day, the Flying Spaghetti Monster said, “Read me, for I am good.”

In Amazing Stories, the Flying Spaghetti Monster goes on trial to earn his godhood among a council of deities that includes Jehovah, the Buddha, Ganesh, Cthulhu, and Charlie Sheen. He is interviewed for an exclusive episode of the celebrity talk show In the Monster’s Studio to discuss his relationship with Godzilla and other famous monsters. He rears his head at an archeological dig in a desert wasteland and dines with a horde of food demons in Hell. He rescues pirates, authors, and prisoners from the cold hand of death while banishing children to suffering and starvation. He is a just god, but only if you compliment his vodka sauce.

Like an all-spaghetti evening of Adult Swim, Amazing Stories of the Flying Spaghetti Monster will show you the many realms of His Noodly Appendage. Learn of those who worship him and the lives he touches in distant, mysterious ways.

Enjoy with Italian food and a side of Darwinism.

Go on. You know you want to. Click the link and grab a copy!
