Waiting Out Winter

waitingoutwinterKOThe time for teasing is over…

Waiting Out Winter A Novella/Chapbook, brought to you as the 6th installment of the Elemental Series from Thunderstorm Books…

Nick and the boys return from the summer’s last hunting trip to find the streets empty, the beachfront and park abandoned, and the windows of their own homes boarded shut. The hunters have become the hunted, in an apocalyptic plague that pits man against beast—very tiny beasts. And Nick is determined to keep his strength, courage and family alive during what could very well be the last winter of their lives.

They’re small. They’re portable. And they’re WAY cheaper than the last release I had… If Six Days was too expensive, this is for you.  If you’d like to read something of mine and haven’t gotten a chance, this is for you. If you like apocalyptic tales, wild animals and duct tape, this is for you!

However, don’t stall. There are only a limited number of the perfect bound trade soft covers at $11.95 each. They’ll be gone before you know it! Don’t delay… Go. Now. Buy me. Love me. Tell your friends!fly (Note: 52 Signed Limited Hardcovers are forthcoming from the printer and not available yet.)

Thank you to Paul at Thunderstorm and Nick Tripiciano for an amazing cover!!

Finished WAITING OUT WINTER at 3am – glad it isn’t warm enough outside for the buzzing to start.

Excellent read that will be included in my “Best of What I Read in 2011” list.

    Brilliant!

I seriously couldn’t put it down. I was reading it during lunch today, and when Sarah made her little announcement, in the dead quiet of the library (unusual for a Saturday) I let out a rather loud “Holy shit!”
